Anytime I go to PepBoys, I come here. We love these delicious freshly made empanadas. Today we ordered the lunch special with 3 tacos, 2 sides and a can of soda for $13. The service was quick. In less than 10 mi my order was ready. It was still warm when I reached home. I love the chairs they set outside for customers to wait but it was too hot for that and I waited in my car. Stop by and support this small business. You won't be disappointed.

The empanadas were delicious. I ordered all different flavors so we could try a bunch of different flavors. They were the best ones I've had so far. They were ready fairly fast, and the lady at the window was really nice. This is a food truck so there is really no ambiance. I don't mind tailgating with these empanadas!
Drove by this food truck & managed to convince my boyfriend to stop and grab a few empanadas for a snack. The lunch/dinner special is $12 for 3 regular empanadas, 2 sides, and a soda - truly a steal!!! We ordered the beef, pork, & chicken to try the different fillings, and they did not disappoint. Each empanada is fried to order and piping hot, and the fillings are generous and perfectly seasoned. I surprisingly liked the shredded chicken the most, but really any of the 3 were good. The salsa verde for the empanadas is to die for, & really packs a spicy punch!! We shared an order, but for 1 person, this would definitely suffice as an entire meal. I guess I've found my go to empanada spot!! Will be returning in the near future to try the other fillings!
Empanada Queen is a staple on the South Shore. Having been located on the Eastbound side of NY 27 (sunrise hwy usually between Lynbrook & Freeport) for the past couple of years, they have developed quite a following. It is always a pleasure to support a family owned business & they are especially kind people. The empanadas are by far, some of the freshest & best I have had. I truly can say we have never been disappointed. My personal favorites are their shredded chicken & their Nutella Banana dessert empanadas. The sides are all outrageously good as well. I recommend the tostones which are perfectly cooked & never too greasy. Beans & rice are a must. Maduros, a little greasy but always cooked @ perfect over-ripeness. If you find yourself passing through Baldwin/Freeport area on Sunrise Highway, do yourself a favor, check the menu (combo deals/quantity discounts), call ahead, & pick up your order @ the big red hummer with matching trailer. You literally cannot miss it. On less windy days they have a big flag/sign that says empanadas.
